What is Holistic Nutrition
It’s the philosophy that health is a complex system that deals with the chemical, mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and environmental aspects of someone’s life.
My values as a holistic nutritionist
I believe in intuitive eating, not diets
Diets are not one size fits all so while maybe a diet worked for one person it may not work for you. Your body already knows what it needs to thrive.
I believe eating food shouldn’t feel guilty
We all have our own food stories and limiting beliefs about food. Too often we beat ourselves up for eating something “bad”, but food is meant to be a pleasurable experience. Practicing radical compassion actually gives us the opportunity to hold ourselves accountable. Through acceptance we see ourselves for exactly who we are and can decide what needs to change.
Exercise as a way to improve mind and spirit not as a calorie burn
Honoring the body and it’s signals
When you listen to yourself you build trust with yourself. Listening to your intuition is your super power. This is everything from who you allow in your life to what you decide to eat for dinner. When you have a gut feeling about something listen to it.
Promoting self respect and self trust through diet and deciding what to put in my body
How we show up for ourselves shows up on our plate. When you cultivate self love you’ll want to treat your body in a way that fuels you. You’re worth it. .
